I know that he doesn't read my blog, but I still want to wish my husband a very happy birthday. Also congratulations to all those retiring from the GLR School District. Their celebration is tonight.
In Literature 9 we reviewed the elements of a farce. We watched a short clip on the "Three Stooges", and then from that clip tried to figure out the elements of a farce. We then watched a second education clip that describes the elements of a farce. We took that information and applied it to "The Bear". We also went over the vocabulary related to the story. I must say that some of the words are very simplistic.
In English 10 we're trying to get our feet wet and read Romeo and Juliet on our own. Several seem to be understanding it, actually a lot of them are putting two and two together. I knew the switch would go off. We also review a few more exercises related to subject/verb agreement.
In American Government it was all about the Presidential Test. I didn't see too much smoke, but I've also learned that they often hide whether they're struggling or not. Next week will be the final, but we'll take an entire class period to review.
In Law we started our authentic assessment of the crime scene. The forensics class started processing the scene, while the law class started to interviewing the two witnesses that found the body. Tomorrow the rest of the evidence must be bagged and tagged, and the law students need to start determining which witnesses to interrogate. What a fun class period.
See you tomorrow!
