The last full week of school for 2014. Seriously, how can time fly that fast? I'm absolutely amazed how the years can just jet past me. My grandfather warned me that time sped up the older I got; he was a wise wise man.
In English 10 we began to present our speeches of introduction. As predicted some speakers really weren't prepared. This is a deceptively hard speech to do without preparation, but I guess some are going to learn the hard way.
In American Literature we were amazed at the legacy of Frederick Douglass. He was definitely an example of some who came from nothing to achieve great things - for humanity as well as himself.
In Literature 9 we studied for yet another day. I don't think there will ever be a time in the future where two days will be allotted for studying. I hope everyone takes advantage of the various study aids created - a study guide, the Google presentation (that serves as flashcards) and a SMART board review saved to Moodle. I guess all I can do is hope that they are used.
Have a great day!
