I'm not quite sure where Wednesday went, but oh well, that seems to be my life lately. I wake up and several days are missing.
In Literature 9 we're reading our final story, "The Son from America" by Isaac Singer. I absolutely love how this story makes me feel. It's about whether one is satisfied with one's life. It is a direct opposite to the previous story "The Necklace." We went over the vocabulary for this story, and then took time to read it.
In English 10 we started our business meeting. It got quite animated as the period went on, but that's the fun of Parliamentary Procedure. The students went over their vocabulary. We will be studying Appositive Phrases.
In American Literature we reviewed the requirements for our novel project. This movie poster project will include: title, author, the student as the director, the characters as "stars", illustrations (fonts, colors, or artwork), an catchy phrase, and then some kind of rating. The last posting is this week, and next week Thursday and Friday we will work on completing our novel project.
