I'm sorry that I forgot to post. Here's a quick update.
In Literature 9 we finished up "The Hitchhiker". Those that missed for any field trips need to take a reading check and also grab a worksheet on Idioms. Today (Thursday) we worked on five of the idioms, and then we began to read "Trifles". As we read this murder mystery, we will fill out a police report. Using the dialogue, much like piecing a quilt, we'll try and figure out what happened.
In English 10 Wednesday was spent reviewing for the Romeo and Juliet final. As said in class, there was a SMART board review. Today (Thursday) we took our test. It was a long test, so it took most of the class period.
In American Government everyone took their cumulative final. After grading it, I can safely say, there was learning this past year! I returned their "This is Me" and other material. It was hard to say good-bye, but these seniors are definitely ready and prepared for the real world.
In American Literature (today), we finished up discussing Robert Frost. We analyzed his style by looking at the poem "Out, Out-". We then went over "Stopping in the Woods on a Snowy Evening" along with "Mending Wall." Carl Sandburg was up with his presentation, but unfortunately we didn't get to his poetry. I hope we can get down with all the poetry tomorrow (Sandburg and Hughes), so we have time for one of my favorite short stories "Sound of Thunder."
In Law we turned in our books, evaluated the murder activity, and reviewed the tort of dangerous animals (Diane Whipple case). This was a great class, and I will miss them.
Good-bye to the class of 2015. You were a great class!
