Today is a good day to have a good day. Our attitudes often determine the quality of our day, and today I tried to have an attitude adjustment.
In Literature 9, we reviewed Chapters 6-10 by matching some of the characters and a few plot questions. We then took our quiz over Chapters 6-10. Then we started to discuss idioms, and we also worked on our idiom worksheet. For tomorrow, read Chapter 11 and finish the vocabulary.
In English 10, we also reviewed - Act 2, Scene 1-2. We watched a short video on falconry, then took our reading check over scenes 1-2. As the period came to an end, we worked on the figurative language found in Scene 2 - similes, metaphors, personification, hyperbole, and alliteration. Read for 10 minutes for tomorrow and complete the evens on the figurative language worksheet.
In American Literature, a new seating chart helped us review the key characters introduced in Chapter 2. We then took our reading check over Chapter 2, and then we discussed it by completing a close assignment - highlighting qualities of Curley's wife. We took a few notes, but we'll finish up an author's style tomorrow.
In Law, we continued to discuss torts and duty of care (professional, vehicle, and landowning). We also discussed what negligence and "but for" standard. I distributed review questions that need to be completed tomorrow.
With the weather getting nicer, our thoughts turn to summer. Be sure that you still stay focused on academics.
