It's so hard coming back after a day being gone, and I know I'm going to be gone again tomorrow. It is what it is, and I'm so thankful that you all are so flexible.
In Literature 9 we reviewed our vocabulary words by playing Kahoot. After a rousing game, we returned to our study guide and highlighted the words that gave us a few problems. Why study the words we're confident with? Then we "doodled" the words as best we could to help us remember. Tomorrow will be our test.
In English 10 I probably came out a little angry, but I wanted us to draw and not take volunteers. However I wasn't here, so I need to realize things won't run the way I want, because I'm not here. In each of the classes 4-5 speakers presented and saved to their G-drive.
In American Literature we focused first on Emerson's "Days". I struggled because personally this poem means a lot to me. I even shed a few tears in class as I tried to explain the poem in perspective on a cousin just diagnosed with cancer. We then moved on to Thoreau and "Civil Disobedience". We took a quiz on SparkNotes. We then used those questions (#1-12) to open our discussion. We took notes on the reverse side of the SMART board notes (which I ran off). We will continue with this pivotal essay on Thursday.
In Law we spent most of the class period reviewing our notes. We played a little BINGO to review the vocabulary, then moved onto a crossword puzzle. Tomorrow we will complete our study guide with our test on Thursday.
I want to thank everyone for all the support and flexibility they've given both me and my husband. You are all amazing!
