Crazy, Crazy day. I'm a little late in posting, but better late than never.
In Literature 9 we worked with our Irony Workshop. We finished up the questions D-F. Tomorrow we'll have fun with the lyrics of a song actually called "How Ironic". Then we finished reviewing our vocabulary words for "The Sniper" and expand your vocabulary. Then we started reviewing our Story Detective.
In English 10 each class had three speeches to get through. I distributed the vocabulary words for our next lesson, and in class tomorrow everyone is supposed to pick out their word. Then we discussed the importance of having a vocal personality. We started to take notes on what exactly is a vocal personality.
In American Government we played Day 2 of Survivor. In this episode, they had to locate three pieces of a puzzle, complete the word search, and then using the left-over letters figure out where the winning sign is. At tribal council the governments had to figure out what they would do if a valuable resource was discovered in their country. How would a government react? How would the citizens benefit - would they? The point of Survivor is really about the Tribal Councils and learning how the various governments work.
I hope everyone had a better Wednesday than I did! Emergency rooms are not fun ways to spend an evening!
