Working to get caught up, but the work is piling up higher than I can make a dent in it.
In English 10 we worked on our speech of introduction. This research will be used to create an outline for the upcoming assignment. We will begin presenting these speeches on Thursday. Hopefully we can finish them up on Friday.
In American Literature we tried to make comparisons between Henry David Thoreau and Martin Luther King. We watched the movie trailer for the upcoming movie Selma. It's neat that we're talking about nonviolent resistance at the same time this movie comes out. I really didn't feel like this lesson went the way it should.
In Literature 9 it was a quiet day in the classroom. We took our unit test on the short story unit that revolves around "life and death" decisions. We're going to review the vocabulary words for the next few days with a test on either on Thursday or Friday.
