Everyone is so excited for the State Basketball Tournament. It's a wonderful feeling of enthusiasm.
In Literature 9 we finished our discussion of The Gettysburg Address. We will continue with our discussion of rhetorical devices (things like anaphora, parallelism, etc.) on Monday (or Tuesday) depending on when we have class again. Remember we're going to be working on our book ball next week. One and a half days of preparation and one day for presenting. I'm looking forward to our presentations.
In English 10 it was pretty much motivational speeches again. With our shortened afternoon classes due to the 60's project, it's a little harder to finish our speeches. Again, our book balls will be next week. I suggest that some of you begin working on them if you can't finish them in a class period or two.
In American Government, we continued with our discussion of the formal amending process. Actually, we discussed the informal amending process. We compared the Equal Rights Amendment with Title IX. Obviously ERA didn't pass - how do I know? It's not in the Constitution. Basic Legislation is the number one way to amend or change the way we do things. For Wednesday, don't forget to complete your final current events for this quarter. Also, there was a worksheet on the Bill of Rights you needed to complete.
In Law, we reviewed the crimes we've been studying, Then we took our quiz. It didn't go so well for some, but we'll work on that later. Read the next installment of our Murder Mystery in a box.
Have a great weekend and we'll see you on Tuesday!
