Another Monday down. I showed an inspirational video today where a young man with only one leg dances beautifully. Today I'm reminded that I'm not challenged physically, financially, or even emotionally. Watching this kind of inspiration prompts me to try to do my best because I am blessed.
In Literature 9 we started our Characterization Workshop. We took a few notes, and then we read two versions of the same paragraph. One was obviously negative while the other was positive. We will be working on this skill throughout this week. Then we watched a student-made film of "The Cask of the Amontillado". Taken word for word from the story, it was a great adaptation. Everyone is to read it again and fill in the CLOSE (a worksheet) on the story.
In English 10 we reviewed the vocabulary words on the unit Appearances and Attitudes. Then we started to go over the URL's we saved to our Padlet assignment. We will continue to review propaganda techniques in anticipation of our test later this week.
In American Government we finally got the Plickers app to work. We used it to review the types of government. Then we went onto discuss constitutional governments (Chapter 1-2) and then tried to review the two types of indirect democracies (parliamentary or presidential). We'll have to hit that again on Wednesday.
This day went so quickly I didn't have time to even think between classes. I'm sure there was something I should have gotten done, but neglected to. Hope everyone else has a good Monday.
