Friday...already? I really felt like this week just flew by. I know for others the week just drug on and on, but for me, it was a quick week. Too much to do and not enough time to do it.
In Literature 9, we tried to tap our personal experiences and find common ground with Richard Wright. We reviewed three of the five vocabulary words, and then we discussed the word anecdote and how it related to the structure of the chapter from Black Boy. For Monday, read the excerpt found in our textbook (pg. 299) and complete the front side of a worksheet.
In English 10, we reviewed the rules for subject/verb agreement. During sixth hour, we also had a couple of speeches to get through. We still have one in seventh hour, but that will be next week. We then took our quiz.
In American Government, most of the class was spent discussing the expressed powers of taxation and borrowing. We had a wonderful discussion of public debt and deficit spending. Everyone, including me, was depressed when watching the debt clock spin out of control. Current Events due on Wednesday!
In Law we finished up our discussion of the key USSC decisions. We will have a quiz on Monday.
Have a great weekend! Good luck to the basketball players, wrestlers, and speech kids. Whew, what a busy weekend.
