Today so many were gone in the morning for a STEM field trip. I'm not sure, but it seemed like many enjoyed their experience.
In Literature 9 we took our final check over To Kill a Mockingbird. As a whole, this class did wonderfully! We then read together Chapters 29-30 and received a few surprises - Boo Radley's appearance and Atticus's willingness to cover up the true events of the story. We'll finish the book tomorrow and prepare for our test.
In English 10 we took a check over Act II, Scene 4. Those that were gone for STEM need to make that up. We then finished reading Act II. We reviewed the terms, events, and characters in preparation for tomorrows quiz. Also there was a worksheet in distinguishing between participles, gerunds, and infinitives. It shouldn't be too difficult.
In American Literature we discussed the definition of the Lost Generation as well as modernism. These are the first two questions on the quiz. Then each group broke up and finished working on their projects. I saw some wonderful things, and again, I think these literature circles worked really well.
In Law we were going to wait for people to return as there seemed to be a lot of people missing, but slowing 15 minutes into class, things changed. So we watched the end of the 60 Minutes program and discussed police procedures regarding eye witness testimony. Tomorrow the section review is due.
