Last regular day of classes. That is just crazy to think about! I can't believe how fast time flew this year. There is a lot to be said about time flies when you're having fun, and this year has been fun (in the classroom - outside the classroom, not so much!)
In Literature 9 we went over the poems "I'm Nobody, Who are You?" and "Hope is a Thing with Feathers" by Emily Dickinson. We also reviewed and talked about the poem by Robert Frost, "The Road Not Taken". We'll finish our discussion of poetry tomorrow. We will complete a survey as well as discuss what can be done over the summer to make the sophomore year a little easier.
In English 10 it's all about the Big Three! It seems we're really struggling with proper punctuation and usage. It's truly frustrating as I know these rules have been drummed into your heads for the past 10 years. For whatever reason, it's a struggling. I blame text messsaging. We will continue with our review, and then take a test/quiz tomorrow.
In American Literature we reviewed (somewhat) Mark Twain's life, but not to the extent that makes me happy. Then we reviewed the key concepts, objectives, and authors studied throughout the year by playing the game Kahoot. I was encouraged by how well everyone was doing, but there's so much more I think we should have covered. There's simply not enough class periods in the week. Anyway, our test is tomorrow, and if you study the review and play a little Kahoot, you should be fine.
Have a great Tuesday. Good luck to the softball players on their opening game!
