Today is Caucus Day! That means - my phone will finally stop ringing, and the flyers will stop filling up my mailbox. It also is a wonderful opportunity to start the selection process for the next president of the United States. I hope to see you there!
In Literature 9 we reviewed the vocabulary words related to "All God's Children Need Traveling Shoes". We then used Padlet to learn more about Ghana - images and facts. We learned that Ghana is not a desert country, but a very lush country. Then piggy-backing off that we learned about imagery or sensory details. Everyone was placed in a group of three or four and assigned a particular reading passage and then asked to look for details related to that sense.
In English 10 we had more of our mythology power point presentations. Then everyone turned in their outlines and I photocopied them. Unfortunately there were several that took a zero on this assignment. We then discussed the grading rubric and the notecard requirements (40 words, but the source doesn't count nor do the headings). Speeches begin tomorrow.
In American Government we took time to discuss tonight's caucus. Then we completed our final reading probe. Finally I distributed their unit plan for the Executive Branch unit.
In Law we discussed Administrative Law. We took a few notes from a video, and then discussed what kind of laws administrative agencies pass.
All in all a fast day. It always is! Keep warm and safe as Snowmagedon arrives later tonight!
