For having as little sleep as I've had the last few nights, I'm feeling relatively happy. I'm sure I'll be crashing sometime soon.
In Literature 9 we had a little fun practicing our articulation - tongue twisters! I found a website that had over 500 tongue twisters to say. We then took a check over the stage and our drama notes. I'm sure everyone did great. We reviewed our Nonfiction Test. We had 26 individuals score a C or better. Now that's some learning! We then reviewed the life and times of Anton Chekov, and we also reviewed the vocabulary words related to the one-act "The Bear". Tomorrow we'll begin reading this funny farce.
In English 10 we also had fun with tongue twisters, but instead of reciting them, we wrote them in review of parts of speech. We then used the rest of classtime to video tape or edit our commercials. Everything needs to be up and ready to go on Friday.
In American Government we really had fun decided where we stood on a continuum of strong federal government to a strong state government. We had some differing opinions, but one thing I did notice is that some students are pretty persuasive. They can get their classmates to change their opinions on some social issues. I really enjoy activities like this as it is an opportunity for me to see the thought processes of our young people. I think they have some pretty good heads on their shoulders. Maybe Washington should give them a chance to govern for a few days (weeks or months!).
Congratulations to the Volleyball girls!
