I felt like it was a very productive Thursday. Each class met its goals and objectives today. Way to be focused everyone!
In Literature 9 we practiced writing an argument. Thank you so much for the restaurant recommendations. We then analyzed President Kennedy's speech for anaphora, parallelism, rhetorical question and juxtaposition. Now we'll continue to analyze arguments using the notes from the Art of Persuasion (SMART board).
In English 10 we listened to the last of the short readings. Then we discussed where to find our literature. Books and human resources are amazing help. We started to discuss how to cut literature down to time. Finding literature can be very daunting, ask for help if needed.
In American Literature we discussed the qualities of Age of Reason. Then we discussed rhetoric and rhetorical devices. Ben Franklin became our focus for a great example of the Age of Reason. We watched a good (although fuzzy) video talking about the cleverness and intelligence of this First American.
Have a great day! Friday is just around the corner!!
