I'm sitting at my desk listening to the water trickle down the pipes. It's melting! It's melting! For a few days anyway.
In Literature 9 we reviewed Chapter 1 by going over the questions on the worksheet. Then we took our reading check for Chapter 2. We discussed how the things on the reading check should probably be included in the chapter summaries. Then with about 10 minutes left of class, I began reading Chapter 3. That is my goal - to read more in class (if time permits.) Don't forget to get that vocabulary completed!
In English 10 we started the play. We donned our red and blue hats, grabbed our swords and acted out the beginning of the play. It's always so fun. The more the students get into it, the better it is. It took a little coaxing, but eventually, the volunteers came. I hope that it won't be so much work to get people to read. For tomorrow, remember to read for ten minutes.
In American Literature, we reviewed the reading strategy SCAN and RUN. Hopefully, it will help some of you during your ITED's later this week. The rest of the class period was to work on your textbook section. I did send everyone a copy of the requirements via email. The project is due on Thursday before we start ITED's.
In Law, we finished our jury deliberation of the Case of the Drowning Girl. It was dismissed as we couldn't come to an agreement. Since it was dismissed, Eric was allowed to go free, and the district attorney didn't think it was a case worth bringing to trial again. The rest of the class period was spent working on the study guide. Test is on Thursday.
Enjoy the warm weather. It doesn't sound like it's going to last!
