Finally, a day that has both sun and warm temperatures. I hope we can stream a few days together.
In Literature 9, we discussed Chapter 24 - the tone and attitude of the Maycomb Ladies tea. I love this chapter because I love talking about the tone of voice used. We completed an activity called "Tone of Voice". Here we discuss the intent and tone for certain quotes. We will finish up the matching activity tomorrow. Please read Chapter 25-26 for tomorrow along with the vocabulary.
In English 10, we're almost done with Romeo and Juliet. We read to the point of Juliet's death. Everyone is supposed to finish the questions 1-12. We will finish the play tomorrow, review Wednesday and Thursday, with our final test on Friday. Also get your notebooks in order as well.
In American Literature, we started first with listening to the song "My Town". We discussed qualities all small towns share. Speaking of sharing, everyone shared their character autopsies. They look amazing!! I can't wait until I can read them closer. We then completed the pre-reading exercise for Our Town, and began watching the PBS version of this classic play. Notebooks will be due on Thursday.
In Law, we're still working on solving the crime. There were many interesting questions asked as well as evidence analyzed. Hopefully tomorrow we can see some of the crime fall into place.
All in all a full day. A good day despite my sadness - I'm sorry to see Mr. Range go - but working with such wonderful students make the loss bearable.
