I look at day 170 and realize there are only ten days of school left, and two of those days are testing days. That's just crazy. I've absolutely loved teaching this year. I tried numerous new things and I've been blessed with flexible students. This was exactly the type of school year I needed to revitalize my love of teaching.
In Literature 9 it was all about notebooks and working on final projects. I don't normally give two days of work time, but I feel that if I would have given a two-day pencil and paper test, then I need to give the equivalent in work time for the projects.
English 10 did not meet due to the early out.
American Government was a smaller class because of golf sectionals and a field trip to the jail. In third hour we still managed to have a quorum to discuss the final bill passed out of the House of Representatives. Unfortunately, after some heated debate, the bill that would have made the school days start an hour later died unanimously. We then started our discussion of Presidential qualifications and responsibilities. We will finish that on Monday along with a review time for the final exam on Wednesday.
Law class spent a lot of their time reviewing the findings of the forensics class. They listened to the recording left on the victim's phone. They began to interview and question people related to the victim. More interviews will take place on Monday.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Be sure to give that mother or mother-figure the love she deserves. Happy weekend everyone!
