Today I felt a lot more "in control". I'm not sure why, because I doubled up some speech practices (unintentionally), but then we were able to get the scripts done in Mime. When I feel like my God is in control, then life goes so much better!
In Literature 9 a new seating chart was made - Christmas carols, Frosty the Snowman, Christmas foods, etc. Then we finished our skills portion of the test. We had a small amount of time to start reviewing for our vocabulary test.
In English 10 we completed 15 more sentences on our Adverbs worksheet (turn in). Then we looked over the vocabulary words for Lesson #4 (Jobs and Occupations). Then I presented the guidelines for our next speech - the Demonstration Speech. This is a 4-6 minutes speech which will be a digital upload to YouTube. This is the speech that is recorded in another location (although it could be done at school). We will work on our outlines later in the week.
In American Government we had our Founding Father's Dinner Party. Tobias, who looked a lot like Mrs. Sandbulte, told everyone about how his master (President Washington) had invited them to the pub to discuss their lives. While everyone ate (smokies, chips and cheese, cheese and crackers, and vegetables), they discussed their lives and accomplishments. We filled out the worksheet "Find Someone Who...". Everyone should be focusing on completing their Constitution Test.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
