It's Wednesday already. I've had a couple of evenings to recharge and that has made the world of difference. I can't say I'm getting a lot done, but I'm feeling a little more "in control".
In Literature 9 we started with an author's purpose. We then reviewed the story by answering the questions on the reverse side of the worksheet. We watched a short video on the impact of Richard Wright. Then we took a reading check over Black Boy. Our final activity was reviewing the Expand Your Vocabulary words. For homework, look up the words for "All God's Children Need Traveling Shoes" and also go to Moodle and answer the journal questions on traveling.
In English 10 we started with four vocabulary presentations. We then reviewed the worksheet related to logos. We added a few notes (inductive and deductive reasoning). We didn't have too much time to get to pathos, but for tomorrow, complete the pathos worksheet and try and come up with a evidence that uses pathos.
In American Government, we reviewed Article I - we had a set of matching cards and also answered some key questions. We took our check (it's on Moodle). Then we had our 15-minute current events discussion. We didn't have a lot of time, but we did manage to get through a lot of the executive branch delegated powers. For Monday, watch the video on judicial review. You will need to take your own notes and place them in your notebook (pg. 37)
In Law, I feel like I'm getting boring again. We discussed state courts and applied it to Iowa where we could. We basically took notes and discussed how the state courts and the federal courts differ. We'll finish this up tomorrow. Also for tomorrow, find a court case involving something in Iowa.
Have a great Wednesday everyone. And remember if you're not feeling well - stay home. None of us what to get it.
