Wednesday - already? This week is just going by so quickly.
In Literature 9 we discussed the infamous chapter - Atticus shooting a rapid dog. It was so fun to watch people make the connection between the phrase "stark raving mad" (when describing people getting upset when a Negro is involved) and the "stark mad" of the rapid dog. The light bulbs were blinding. We took our checks and looked over our vocabulary. Today was very (VERY) close. Hopefully everyone got a scare and will get that vocabulary done.
In English 10 NOW we finished our Elizabethan notes. We reviewed participle phrases. We had a discussion about apathy and grades. It was hard to talk to them, because they are a great group, but they are really slacking off! We did a survey on Social Offenses. Tomorrow it will be the start of the Prologue.
In American Government, the simulation continued. We now were either the Senate or the House. The bill on ignition starters was modified - one way for the Senate and another way for the House. The House had to go through a "rule," so they only got one minute of speaking time. It was fun to see their debate skills in action. We will finish this up on Friday, and say good-bye to the Legislative Unit.
In Law we took the discussion of Iowa Courts really (REALLY) fast. We will finish this chapter a few days faster than I thought. Then again, I completely forgot about our early out on Friday.
Happy Wednesday everyone!
