Thursday, but it's really a Friday. I have to admit I'm looking forward to a three-day weekend. Normally, I would be all stressed out about the high school play, but that anxiety has been "passed down" to Ms. Stump. I hope that for all involved it goes well, and you create memories for a lifetime.
In Literature 9 we read for our ten minutes and then worked on our one-pagers. I've seen a few rough drafts, and they look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I can't wait to see them on Monday.
In English 10, we also read for our ten minutes. Then everyone drew a speech buddy name, and then the entire group had to listen to the four presentations. This allows you to compare presentations. From what I could hear, I think we had some great presentations.
In American Literature we took our second CBM. We're taking a few more per year in order for us to gauge how our independent reading program is going. We then started our discussion of the Red Badge of Courage. We were able to discuss the universality of Henry Fleming's character, and how Crane's description of "fear" was indeed like a thousand-tongued monster. For Tuesday, please complete the packet #1-5.
If there are any bored bodies out there, we're sheetrocking at our house. You're welcome to join us!
