Brrrrr - That's all I'm going to say.
In Literature 9 we finished discussion on Chapter 3. We also are doing wonderfully on keeping up with our vocabulary. I see a quarter without any vocabulary quizzes! Yeah!!! We started a socio-web looking at the narrator Scout. We will add to this as the story continues. I had the opportunity to share the first "controversial" scene in the book - Calpurnia telling Scout she isn't better than anyone else. I love that part. Tomorrow everyone is supposed to have Chapter 4 read, and then for Monday Chapter 5.
In English 10 we had our final day of parliamentary procedure. Before we got too far in our debate, we reviewed four of the vocabulary words on social sciences. I think most students are getting the hang of parliamentary procedure, and it's always fun when they say we should do this for the rest of the year. That makes things fun and exciting.
In American Literature we finished the story of the great white whale. Then we took our quiz. For Tuesday, the fifth chapter from Of Mice and Men should be done, with the final chapter on Thursday, and the unit test on Friday. Then it will be back to our novel project, reading journals, and a final project.
In Law we had fun with our role playing of mediation. We then finished our discussion of trial vs. appellate jurisdiction. I always love teaching law; I just wish it wasn't during sixth hour, when my blood sugars drop and I'm so tired. It never fails, I always feel like a I need a nap!
See you tomorrow everyone!
