The wind is howling, and the weatherman is talking snow. Ugh! The only thing I like about colder weather is the chili soup I make. I definitely see a warmer climate in my retirement future.
In Literature 9 we discussed which story we liked the best. It seems that "The Most Dangerous Game" wins again. We then moved on to "The Interlopers" and discussed the plot line, the climax, and the theme. A bargain was made that if everyone completed the first three columns of their study guide, we would review tomorrow, play Kahoot on Monday, and take the test on Tuesday. We'll see if we can get a 100% participation.
In English 10 we worked on our vocal quality. We divided into pairs (based on what we were wearing) and practiced marking our scripts. We need to learn that we won't 'naturally' read with vocal quality; we have to practice. For homework, there was a reading packet on orally reading.
In American Literature we had several book talks in 3rd Hour, and I swear we're never going to complete "The War Prayer". Anyway, we worked on vocabulary and then continued annotating our literature piece. For tomorrow, study the vocabulary. Someday - somehow - we're going to get to the Red Badge of Courage.
Stay warm everyone, and I'll see you tomorrow.
