It's going to take me a few days to learn to write or type "December". That's just crazy that already it's the end of the year.
In English 10 we finished our discussion of thesis, internal citations, and one final push to our speeches tomorrow. I'm sure that some waited until the last minute to get things done, but with over three weeks to work on it, I can't really award any more time.
In American Literature we began to discuss the three branches of government in more detail. Today it was all about the Legislative Branch. We discussed the 17 powers listed in the Constitution. We took a few notes, and even started our Constitution test. They were given an assignment to start a Power Point Project (a Google presentation that should be shared with me). They need to include the 17 delegated (expressed, enumerated) powers. Also in this project would be the implied powers (explanation), and how Congress has changed (using the information from the book). We will work on these a little bit on Wednesday, but eventually move onto the Executive Branch.
In Literature 9 we started our Characterization Workshop (worksheet needs to be picked up). Then we reviewed the commonly confused words that are on "The Sniper" and "The Leap" vocabulary. We didn't have a lot of time to review the story, but hopefully we can get to that tomorrow.
Have a good Monday everyone!
