I'm still struggling with a lot of pain. I was hoping that if I'd ignore it, it would just go away. I'm afraid that this isn't the best course of action. Most of my classes were rearranged with new seating charts.
In Literature 9 we had a little fun with our Irony Workshop. We reviewed D, E, and F, but then we listened to Alanis Morisset's "Ironic" and then a spoof that was done with James Corbin. I think irony is set now. We then finished up "The Sniper" by looking at suspense, point of view, and plot. For tomorrow, everyone is to read the story "The Leap".
In English 10 we're headed into one of my favorite units propaganda. We corrected our commas' worksheet. Then we uploaded our power points to Moodle, Finally, we used expert jigsaw and discussed the definitions and examples of propaganda. For homework tomorrow, complete another comma worksheet.
In American Government, we spent most of the class period reviewing types of government. We played a tic-tac-toe game and then a SMART board matching review. The quiz was patterned almost exactly off these two reviews, so hopefully, the grades reflect this. For homework, watch the video marked "Governing in the 20th Century." The link is on Moodle. Don't forget your current events! We're still planning on playing Survivor, but I still need to make a few of the games since the number of tribes is increasing from two to four. Thanks for your patience.
Finally a day without rain. I hope everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a little of the outside. See you tomorrow.
