Today was a day I just struggled. I had a hard time coming up with words, what we were going to do next, etc. I think I need a nap - about a two day one!
In Literature 9 we discussed Chapter 6 - often called "The Tale of the Pants". We reviewed Harper Lee's use of humor in the novel, as well as why she includes the chapters she does. These past few events (all revolving around Boo) have been humorous, as well as provided insights to Boo. We took our check, reviewed the vocabulary, and had a lively discussion.
In English 10 we took a few notes on Shakespeare's world, then finished up our vocabulary, and also reviewed appositive phrases. We'll keep plugging along tomorrow.
In American Government we divided into our groups for our committee simulation. Everyone has been assigned a role - member of the House Judiciary committee, a special interest group, or a proponent of the bill. It will be interesting to hear the presentations on Monday. I hope everyone gets into it, and we can have a lively debate.
Finally in Law things took a little different turn than planned. We watched a quick clip about the Supreme Court and a case they are presently deliberating, then as I was clearing up some homework questions, they just started working on it. We ended the class period with everyone sharing the information they gathered about the Supreme Court justices.
Well, hump day has been here and soon will be gone. Then we're on the downward slide. Have a good Wednesday evening everyone!
