So I still have a headache, but not as bad as yesterday. It's still annoying, but I'm at least functioning.
In English 10 we uploaded our vocabulary power points to Moodle. Sorry 8th hour, but you need to do that. We shared our 100 Artifacts that Changed America. It was really interesting to see what people chose and shared. It was a good short lesson on talking "about" something. Then we finished discussing the 6 C's (1st Hour). We then reviewed the 5 W's of evaluation. It's important that everyone start researching their topics.
In American Literature we finished up our discussion of the Declaration of Independence. I enjoyed our choral reading. Most found that it wasn't so easy to speak in choral. We then discussed how the Declaration is really simply a list of grievances against King George III. A study guide was distributed and tomorrow will be our test.
In Literature 9 we listened to the song "Ironic" and identified the various examples of situation irony (and one verbal irony). Then we read as a class the story "The Sniper". We used it as an opportunity to work on our skills of prediction and irony. Everyone truly seemed shocked at the ending of the story. I love when a surprise ending is truly a surprise ending!
Have a good evening!
