Today it was awesome to hear that Bob Dylan, an American icon, won the Nobel Prize for Literature for his song lyrics. It's the first time a musician was recognized, and what a wonderful lyricist to be honored!
In Literature 9 it was all about the review day. We reviewed our study guide, then played a little Kahoot. I know that you will all do wonderfully tomorrow on your unit test. It's clear you've read the material, turned in your homework, and teamed up to have a great first quarter!
In English 10 it was all about propaganda. We watched a lot of commercials and tied them to the various propaganda techniques we've been studying. I always love this unit, because I really feel it's something we can take right into our lives. To understand the techniques being used, recognize them, and acknowledge them is an important skill. Remember to work on the Padlet.
In American Literature we finished up Puritanism. We discussed the legacy of the Puritan culture, took our Bradstreet and Edwards quiz, and then started the section on the Salem Witch Trials. Everyone has an internet activity to complete before Tuesday. Also don't forget that tomorrow Mr. Judge will be conferencing with you on the Mayflower Project.
Have a great Thursday. Good Luck to the Volleyball Girls on their last regular homegame tonight.
