So today was stop, pop, and read. I couldn't have pulled this off without the amazing help of two people who POPPED a lot (and I mean a lot) of popcorn. It was great to hear the groans as the end of the period rolled around. That's what I'm talking about - reading is fun!
In Literature 9 we reviewed commonly confused words during the bell ringing time. Then we took our check over Chapter 16. We didn't have a lot of time to review the chapter, so tomorrow that will be the start of the class. Since so many will be gone to decorate for Swing Show or to a contest for cattle, we will read chapter 17 in class, and then Chapter 18 for Monday. The book is starting to get good.
In English 10 we finished Act 1. Finally Romeo sees Juliet and is smitten. Actually he is hit with Cupid's arrow, and it seems that she was too. We started to review for our Act I quiz, which will be tomorrow.
In American Literature we started our discussion of Red Badge of Courage. First though there was a reading check which kind of bit a few people in the butt. They didn't read the summary or complete their questions. Hopefully these juniors get the lead out and get their assignments completed.
In Law we continued in our study of crime. Tomorrow they should complete the packet #46-49. This will review the various elements of larceny.
Have a great Thursday.
