Well, I'm two for two. Last night it was a quick run to Sioux Falls. I promise I'll do better the rest of the week.
In Literature 9 we discussed the key themes found in To Kill a Mockingbird. We will finish with symbols and humor tomorrow with our test on Wednesday. The test will probably take a couple of days, but the book took us an entire quarter to read, so it will take awhile to get through the assessment.
In English 10 we started Act III. There is an abrupt change in tone in Act III - people die, Romeo is banished and there is no humor there. We will finish Act III this week along with our study of phrases. Things are looking good for the end of the quarter.
In American Government things were not looking so good. Today was the day we were to share our Running a Campaign Project and third period did not leave a good taste in my mouth. I extended when the project was due until Wednesday morning. The fourth period class had some wonderful examples of what this project was all about. Either way we moved on to our discussion of the Cabinet. We will finish that this week with the EOP next week and the first of May finish the Presidential unit. Things are looking good for the end of the quarter here too.
In Law we finished 5-2 and everyone took their 5-2 quiz home as a take-home quiz. I know after their oath they will complete it independently and with care. We will be taking our test sometime this week - probably Wednesday.
I hope I have everything in a scoop now, and things will run a little more smoothly.
