Today was test day. Literature 9 and many of the government student came in to take their legislative tests.
In Literature 9 we started our unit test on To Kill a Mockingbird. It's a long one. When aren't my tests long? I really need to work on that! We'll finish it tomorrow and begin watching the movie. I had a magic squares and crossword puzzle to complete.
In English 10 we watched Act III through Act V: Scenes 1-2. We observed that the movie kept all the foreshadowing pieces, but the director thought to move a lot of the story around. The differences in time make it interesting because a play version can't do all that.
In American Literature we continued to work with Mark Twain. We watched a few videos on the "Jumping Frog of Calaveras County." A reading check was completed, and then with the time remaining we started to translate the dialect.
Law was still Crime in GLR! I loved messing with the boys today. I let them watch surveillance video but I didn't have the authority. So all evidence that they acquired was illegal and they needed to stop and get a warrant. It was mean, but hopefully a life lesson. I giggled. I'm so mean!
Have a great Thursday. Good luck to the track and golf students.
