OCTOBER!!! Where did September go? This has been one fast moving school year, that's all I have to say. They do say, however, that time flies when you're having fun, and I have to admit, I've had a lot of fun these past five weeks.
In Literature 9, we compared the four stories we've read. We compared their characters, the setting, and the conflict. There were definitely some similarities, but for the most part, they didn't have a lot in common. We then used the rest of the class period to work on our vocabulary lesson. I'm just so impressed with the freshmen notebooks. Usually I have several (bordering on many) students who need to redo their first quarter notebook. Not this class! They did awesome! No late grades, no missing grades, and now great notebooks. They are spoiling me.
In English 10 we finished our vocabulary presentations. Then I presented information concerning the last three propaganda techniques. Then each student was sent a Padlet where they were to post an example of a propaganda technique. Tomorrow we're going to work on stations, so that we can apply these techniques a little more.
In American Government (remember we switched our Wednesday and Thursday around), we reviewed the Type of Governments by going over the answers to the worksheet. Then we played a Matching game to further review for the quiz. Then it was quiz time. Finally we ended the class period with a current events discussion. I so look forward to these, because I just like the conversations.
It's Thursday already, and tomorrow is Friday, and LIFE IS GOOD!!!
