ITED's are always draining for everyone involved - kids and teachers. As a teacher I feel like I'm under a microscope as my students pour over the tests. I know that they're prepared, I just hope that they trust themselves and their skills.
In Literature 9 (8th Hour) we worked on a drama graphic organizer. We discussed how conflict is the basis for all plays. Then we reviewed the terms exposition, point of attack, rising action, crisis [climax], falling action, and resolution. I hope we can catch first period up on Wednesday.
In English 10 (6th Hour) we reviewed a few more of our vocabulary words. Our test over the words is on Thursday. We then reviewed the guidelines of the Demonstration Speech. I distributed the perimeters and the rubric so hopefully is well aware of what is expected (and how it will be graded.)
In American Government (4th Hour) we finished our discussion of the symbols found in the Great Seal. We discussed how these symbols reflected the five visions our Founding Father's had for our country. Then I distributed the study guide. Hopefully third hour American Government students read the announcements and/or their emails and pick up the study guide.
Tonight is a run-through of the play. Tuesday is a full dress rehearsal, as well as Thursday. Then Friday is a double performance with the matinee in the afternoon and opening night at 7:30 PM.
