Every day my back is getting a little bit better. Today I'm a little more mobile but still have an occasional twinge.
With all the rain that might aggravate things as well.
In Literature 9 we basically worked on Dramatic Irony most of the class period. It is defined as when we the readers or viewers know things that the characters in the story do not. Most comedies or horror stories have some form of dramatic irony in them. For homework, everyone is supposed to complete the top two rows of the Story Detective for "The Leap".
In English 10 it was all about the eight propaganda techniques. We finished those but didn't get much done for vocabulary presentations. We'll have to start those tomorrow. For homework, everyone is supposed to go to the Padlet I created and include a URL and type of propaganda technique used.
In American Literature we had just one book talk unfortunately. I'm hoping that we can have a couple of presentations with Mr. Judge tomorrow. That will help us get caught up. We worked on our first vocabulary assignment. For next week Thursday, write an essay about the definition of courage and how it is seen in the lives of John Smith, William Bradford and the Puritans, and the women and children. This is a Google doc that should be shared with me.
I hope the rain quits so the Cross Country team can have their home meet. Good look to the ladies as they travel to Sheldon.
