It's going to take me awhile to get back in the swing of things. Getting presentations ready for classes, photocopying papers, and getting the grading completed - whew, I'm out of practice.
In Literature 9 (actually in all classes) we completed our reading probe. Then we played a little Kahoot to introduce the unit of Nonfiction. We then started to take notes for our Nonfiction unit. Everyone should read President Lincoln's second inaugural address as we're going to compare the various ways it can be presented.
In English 10, again another reading probe. Then we reviewed a few grammar basics - subject, verb, and complements. Then we took a quick check over things. Then five individuals gave their vocabulary presentations. There will be five more tomorrow. Finally we are getting ready for our product/service endorsement speech.
In American Literature we took our reading probe. Then we created our new notebook. We discussed the goals and schedules for second semester. We started with our introduction to Romanticism. For some reason we got a little further in fourth period than third, but that might be because Haleigh got a little lost! It provided for a much needed smile!
All in all, got a lot done, but have a lot to get through. Take a deep breath and dive right in!
