It seemed today that I did a lot of talking and lecturing. It's not something I'm used to, so by the end of the day I'm a little horse. Hopefully I can come up with something a little more interesting for the classes tomorrow.
In Literature 9 we took our reading check for Black Boy. Then I shared some examples of a Six Word Memoir; I also provided a sample on Moodle. It should be six words (duh!), have illustrations (not just the Power Point template), and a second frame that explains fully why the six words apply to you. I'm excited to walk the gallery tomorrow.
In English 10 we took a lot of notes related to audience analysis. Then we also discussed what evidence should a speaker use depending on the audience being faced. Tomorrow all topics are due and there will be a work day to research and prepare the speeches.
In American Government we discussed the informal method of amending the Constitution. Then we discussed the key amendments that exist in the Constitution. I distributed a study guide that if it is completed, everyone should do well, but the key is do the study guide and read the assigned sections.
In Law we spent most of the day discussing Law in the News. We discussed some pretty "heavy" things. We didn't have too much time to discuss what statute law is, but we'll dive right in again tomorrow.
Remember everyone that extra credit is available on Moodle!
