What a crazy day! Reading to freshmen in the morning, setting up the "murder," reviewing for American Government final, and all the make-up that students are doing for missed classes last week. Whew!
In Literature 9 we worked on Chapters 22-23, which I call "The Trial's Impact". We worked on an Impact Web and the Discussion Questions for the chapters. We didn't do the check as I was impressed (somewhat) that most had read those two chapters. For tomorrow, read Chapter 24. This is one of my favorite chapters because I love Miss Maudie and Miss Alexandra!
In English 10 we finished Act IV. Everyone turned in the page numbers from over the weekend, and we simply finished reading the Act. If you were gone, use "No Fear, Shakespeare" as an online help. We will try and finish the play tomorrow - we will be close, and then we should be able to finish the play soon. Please read for 10 minutes.
In American Government, we reviewed the nine functions of the President. We reviewed the many hats that he wears. We didn't have a lot of time to complete a thorough review, but I offered to have the SMARTboard up for the 8th hour to any who want to come in a study. The final test on Wednesday.
Law class was all about the murder of Rita Abernathy. The body was discovered, and maybe her locker was searched. We'll continue with the investigations tomorrow. Happy hunting!
Congratulations to the Platinum Winners today. What an outstanding achievement for GLR and our academic system. So proud of Jillian, Dhalten, Candyce, Josh, and Allison. What an achievement!
