My day just started out horribly. My dog got loose, and believe me she wasn't to be caught. I lost a much-needed flashdrive, and it seemed like my to-do list was longer than humanly possible to accomplish. However, as the day has progressed, the sun began to shine. I managed to catch my dog, I found the flashdrive, and slowly I'm crossing things off that list. What does Dory say, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!"
In English 10 we're finishing up our Quotation Speeches. There have been some awesome speeches, but then there have been some not so good. It's obvious who was prepared and who tried to wing it. Unfortunately this is a test grade and many quarter grades fell. We also assigned vocabulary words related to "Attitudes and Appearances". Those power points aren't due until Thursday.
In American Literature we watched the ending to The Crucible. No matter how many times I see that movie, the ending still shocks me. We worked on the viewing questions, and on Thursday we'll finish our discussion ending with the quiz. This will lead to the test on Tuesday.
In Literature 9 everyone had the opportunity to sit and read "Into Thin Air". They also had the class period to work on the reading comprehension questions. This is a longer story, so I wanted to give as much time as possible for the reading. Hopefully by providing time in class, everyone will get this amazing story read.
Good luck to the football players, volleyball players, and the cross country runners. Wow! What a busy day for GLR athletics?
