I hope everyone had as great of a weekend as I did. I managed to get a lot of housework and yard work completed, and that sense of accomplishment really made my weekend. Now I need to transfer that busy-beaver attitude to the rest of the school year!
In Literature 9, we focused on the information we received from the first two witnesses of Tom Robinson's trial. We started class by looking at the various symbols used in the book concerning racism. Then we began to break down each witness, starting with Heck Tate and concluding with Bob Ewell (ick!) Read Chapter 18 tomorrow where we will take a check over BOTH chapters. It is my hope that we will finish the trial this week. I truly hope we will have time to watch the movie. Remember to read Chapter 18 and have that vocabulary completed.
In English 10 it was all about Act III, Scenes 3-4. We reviewed what we've read so far, finished scene 3 - watched the movie version, and then in trios, read scene 4. This short scene is a turning point in the story as now the couple has a deadline ahead of them. For tomorrow, read for ten minutes.
In American Government, we discussed the 1964 Civil Rights Act. It was much abbreviated, but I don't know what to do. We just simply ran out of time. Our test in on Wednesday over the Legislative Branch.
In Law, we finished the Case of the Spilled Coffee packet. We almost finished the packet on tort defenses, but we had three to go. For tomorrow, find a case that outlines one of the defenses studied.
I hope both the track team and the golf team does well. After seeing our test scores, GOOOOO G-LR! So proud to be a Mustang!!!!
