More and more students are absent. Remember that these posts are to keep you updated to what is happening while you're gone. I hope many of you get better very soon. It's hard to be absent. You're sick, but then you're worried about making up the work.
Literature 9 was a student in author's purpose. You should have received an email with a URL attached, and there is an exercise in author's purpose. Boy I found this hard. It's a great practice. We then reviewed the structure of Cause and Effect. We reviewed the homework (worksheet). We're going to start comparing memoirs, biographies, and autobiographies. Look up the vocabulary words for tomorrow.
In English 10 reviewed pronouns. It was sort of a puzzle-type exercise. Then we shared our listening observations through a Moodle Journal. We then began to discuss the blocks to listening. We continued to take notes. Since we didn't get as far as anticipated, there was no homework assignment.
In American Government we reviewed our civic skill (geography). Most of us felt pretty worthless in this area. I know I couldn't find many Middle Eastern countries. It was horrible! I definitely need to work on this area. We then finished our discussion of Developed, Developing, and Underdeveloped countries. We discussed the differences between politics and government. Homework includes reading Chapter 1 Section 3.
