Congratulations to Jake Hilbrands and Jacob Dickmann for their All-State Nomination. They will be competing at Ames on February 21, 2014.
In Literature 9 we compared the two brothers in "The Scarlet Ibis". We also review the vocabulary words related to the story. I had hoped to get to studying the symbols that appear in the story, but we just seem to be dragging our feet a bit. Maybe tomorrow.
In English 10 our final review of sentence and sentence fragments. We will be reviewing Wednesday and Thursday with our final test over sentence basics on Friday. We also worked on Parliamentary Procedure notes. We discussed the elements of a business meeting, a quorum, and the duties of the chairperson.
In American Literature we reviewed the elements of an author's style. Then we discussed what we could of Moby Dick.
It seemed like I was scrambling all day. Hopefully I can get my ducks in a row soon. Happy Tuesday.
