To see sunshine makes me happy! I hope it's around to stay.
In Literature 9 we created an impact web. This web was placed on the back side of our Adjective Chart. We discussed how the trial (all of it - from Chapter 9 to Chapter 22) impacted various people in the story. We worked in groups, and essentially used this time to discuss the book prior to taking the Reading Checks. Then we took the checks. We didn't have time to finish our vocabulary, so we'll start with that tomorrow. Be sure you have the vocabulary completed for Chapters 22-24.
In English 10 a few quizzes were returned. Then we discussed our Tic-Tac-Toe projects. These projects are due May 20th and account for 100 points. That's eighteen day to work on three projects. We also created a timeline of the events of the play. We went backwards so it required a little more thinking on our part. We didn't get as much time as I had hoped to, but we started reading Act V, Scene 1. Hopefully we'll be able to finish Act V tomorrow.
In American Government we finished our discussion of Standing, Select, Joint, and Conference Committees. We want to remember that this can really turn into trivial pursuit, so the basics include that 90% of bills die in committee, Appropriations give out the money, and the Ways and Means decide how something will be done. We will finish the legislative branch next Wednesday with the test over that unit on Thursday. We'll review for our semester final on Monday, the 16th with our final test on the 18th.
In Law it was all about the review. We went through several review exercises on Moodle. Our test will be tomorrow.
Have a great day! Good luck to the musicians on their concert this evening.
