A late start is always nice, but then there is also this scramble to keep the two sections caught up. I'm just going to look at the silver lining - I got my kitchen cleaned!
In Literature 9 (5th Hour), we worked on the first part of our point of view workshop. Then we moved onto watching Miranda Lambert's music video and comparing it to "The Scarlet Ibis." We had some really good conversations. We didn't have a lot of time to get to the CLOSE, so we'll finish it tomorrow. That is the homework - finish that worksheet.
In English 10 we worked on reviewing all the comma rules, we chose our vocabulary words, and we then began putting our outlines together for our next speech. For homework, complete the next review sheet and start researching for your informative speech. You can just place the URL's on your outline. We'll convert them to a bibliography later.
In American Literature, we only met for a half of an hour, so time was essential. We didn't take time to read, but I did ask for everyone's page number. We worked for eight minutes on our vocabulary - four minutes review, 4 minutes of a game. We then reviewed Carl Sandburg's poem "Freedom". For Thursday, everyone should complete the biography questions on Carl Sandburg and also read for ten minutes.
Have a great Tuesday!
