The final week of school. On the one hand, it's been such a fast year, and on the other...it's been a long one. I've really enjoyed this year. So many new lessons, strategies, and challenges - fun and fast!
In Literature 9, we discussed the eleven elements of style. We looked for the elements that Harper Lee demonstrated. Then we read Chapters 29-30. We'll read that last chapter tomorrow. We stopped and discussed things like "are there any hints as to why Boo stays inside"? And "what really happened under the tree"? And why didn't Atticus put two and two together? All I-Passes must be turned in by 3:15. You may use your I-pass on the character autopsy. Test on Thursday or Friday.
In English 10, we started watching the modern version of Romeo and Juliet. It's fun to watch you watch it...to see your reaction. Again, if you're planning to turn in your I-Pass, it must be in by 3:15. On Thursday or Friday, we will be working on our graphic essays and book evaluations.
In American Literature we watched the rest of Act II of Our Town. I love this play, and I'm so glad I decided to have us watch it. We'll continue tomorrow.
In Law, we're also watching a movie - Runaway Juror. It must seem like all I do at the end of the year is watch movies. It just landed that way. It's kind of nice though, as I can get things done.
Have a great Monday. Hopefully, we get a little sunshine.
