I woke up this morning so confused. My heart was telling me it was Saturday, but my mind was saying it was only Wednesday. Let's just say it was quite the let down. After I got going through my day, I was o.k. with the Wednesday before me.
In Literature 9 we finished watching To Kill a Mockingbird. To think that this book is required reading in so many schools is mind blowing. I know that I'm always a little sad when this unit is done. We will be moving onto our Drama Unit. Everyone was provided a set of notes to complete (pg. 614-615). We will be cleaning out our notebooks tomorrow, and then we will start a new notebook for the last month.
In English 10 we demonstrated our knowledge of phrases (prepositional phrases, appositive phrases and verbals [participles, gerunds, and infinitives]). I hope adding the use of a notecard helped those that struggle a bit with grammar. Several people finished the test so very quickly, while others looked a little more confused. I hope things went o.k. for most.
In American Government we enjoyed the video of the "Mother of the Year" in Baltimore. We then finished discussing the Cabinet and the Executive Office of the President. We then made a set of notes called "Target: President". This graphic basically summed up the Executive Branch. We then took a quick check over the two sections. I think it went o.k., but I'll take a look and find out for sure.
In Law we finished watching 12 Angry Men. We then reviewed the unit plan on torts, and started discussing the elements of a tort or contract. We're going to try and get through as much as we can before the seniors leave us.
All in all a good day. See you tomorrow!
