It seems like I'm just getting into my stride, and the week is already over. I have a feeling that is the way the rest of the year is going to go.
In Literature 9 we worked with Chapter 7. It's a short chapter, but it's full of important information. We should be able to ascertain who is leaving the treasures in the tree and mended Jem's pants. This realization changes Jem's perspective a great deal. We took our check, and we also began working on our questions and a map activity. Read Chapter 8 for Monday and complete the vocabulary for all of Chapters 7-8.
In English 10 we finished reading Act 1, Scene 5. Here Romeo and Juliet finally meet. We discussed how Shakespeare doesn't have any stage directions, so we kind of get to make up in our minds what we think we see. Everyone got a worksheet for Stage Directions and we analyzed the sonnet between Romeo and Juliet. For Monday, be prepared for Act 1 Quiz.
In American Government, we reviewed the key concepts of the House of Representatives and the Senate and then took our quiz. For Monday, please watch the video that is online and take appropriate notes. We will use these notes in an activity in class.
Law class didn't meet as the Juniors were working on Prom.
Have a great weekend everyone! Stay safe and make good choices.
