I got so side-tracked with lights, grades, and lessons, that I completely forgot to blog. Sorry.

In Literature 9 we reviewed the Expand Your Vocabulary found in "The Gift of the Magi". Then we took our reading check. After that we cleaned out our binders and started a second quarter one. As a class we reviewed the plot, conflict, characters, mood, point of view, and setting found in the story. We're going to then work on allusions tomorrow, so everyone had a worksheet to complete.

In English 10 we cleaned out our binders. Then we discussed the definition of a fragment. We reviewed the exercise found on page 37. Our homework will continue to help us in this area. Everyone turned in a name of the person they want to interview for our StoryCorps assignment. All names and scheduled interviews must be done by November 9th. All vocabulary should be uploaded.

In American Literature we finished our first quarter presentations. Then we registered our nonfiction books on Moodle. Age of Reason vocabulary teams were made and the vocabulary was assigned. We will continue to work with the vocabulary for the rest of this unit (twenty words). A Ben Franklin resume was distributed and on the back are some notes that need to be completed before coming to class on Thursday.

A feeling of accomplishment as I look at my to-do list and many things were crossed off. Congratulations to the girls on their victory over Trinity Christian. I hope you can continue to play strong. Good luck to the boys tonight as they meet Cherokee.
