Boy I'm dragging today. My body hurts from sitting in a car for so long. I am definitely not as young as I used to be! Oh well, suck it up cupcake! (That's my own little inner monologue!)
In Literature 9 we discussed and analyzed the information provided by Tom Robinson (my favorite character). We compared his body language and tone to the Ewell's, and most of us have come to the conclusion that he is the one telling the truth. We reviewed the vocabulary. For tomorrow, everyone needs to read Chapter 20.
In English 10 we reviewed the information and the meaning behind Act III, Scene 1. My goal is to focus on how Act III parallels other scenes in the play. Then I provided a link (Spark Notes) so that everyone can start reading the play on their own. Everyone is first to read the scene on their own, then read the translation. Finish it off with the reading comprehension questions that are on their study guide. We will NOT be reading this as a group tomorrow. It's time for the little birdies to leave the nest and start reading some Shakespeare on their own.
In American Government we started the class by watching a CBS Sunday morning report on the subsidies that go to the Arts. It was ironic because the only subsidies I was really aware of were farm subsidies. Then I outlined the Mock Congress simulation. Everyone needs to understand that every assignment is important because it all culminates into a test grade. For Wednesday everyone must have their idea (topic + legislation of change). This is worth the first set of points on the test.
In Law we spent most of the class period reviewing for the criminal unit test. We will finish tomorrow's review and take our test on Wednesday.
Have a great Monday everyone!
